What ever happened to free speech. As we move closer to police state, this is the sort of thing that will become the norm to UK citizens. Freedom of speech is the concept of the inherent human right to voice one's opinion publicly without fear of censorship or punishment. "Speech" is not limited to public speaking and is generally taken to include other forms of expression. The right is preserved in the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights and is granted formal recognition by the laws of most nations. 17-year-oldsent malicious Twitter messages to Tom Daley after the Team GB diver failed to win a medal in the synchronised diving. A 17-YEAR-old was arrested today after malicious tweets were sent to Tom Daley. Dorset Police said the teenager was held at a guesthouse in Weymouth hours after 18-year-old Daley received the messages on Twitter. A police spokeswoman said: "A 17-year-old man was arrested by Dorset Police officers in the early hours this morning at a guesthouse in the Weymouth area on suspicion of malicious communications. "He is currently helping police with their inquiries." Daley and his Team GB diving partner Pete Waterfield missed out on a medal yesterday when they finished fourth in the men's synchronised 10m platform diving event at the Olympics. Shortly afterwards, Daley retweeted a message from user Rileyy-69 which said: "You let your dad down i hope you know that."
